story problems

today in kindergarten we were working on story problems
we would read the problem, draw the picture, and then write the equation

when it came to the sum of the equation several of the students were confused as to how to figure that out, then one little boys says "just count the balloons that you drew" and a girl across the room says in quite an excited voice"THAT'S A GREAT IDEA"

it was VERY funny!
